AFL-8500
High Speed Analog/Digital Fiber Optic Link
The AFL-8500 is a high speed, high bandwidth fiber optic link. The AFL-8500 system can transfer up to 2 analog signals + 32 digital signals to each direction. The system is using a 1.25GHz. optical link for ranges of up to 40Km. Each signal is sampled at a very high sampling rate at 16 bit resolution providing the user a tool for transmitting analog and digital signals with high accuracy and a very low delay.
All of the analog and digital signals are sampled simultaneously inside the AFL-8500 High speed fiber optic link at a minimum sampling rate of 10 MHz. Digital units (with no analog I/O) can sample at up to 60 MHz. per channel.
Specifications:
Analog inputs are not available any more.
Sampling method: True Simultaneous Sampling.
Digital I/O Signals may be combined with RS-232/RS485 drivers or high current relay (dry contacts).
Optical fiber:
Single mode, 9/125 micron (SMF28 compatible)
Range: 10Km standard, up to 60 Km. optional.
Power Supply: 10-14V@1.5A max.
The AFL-8500 system is relatively small. It was designed for applications where small space and low weight are essential.
